What it is
The Vokera 1838 is a spark electrode with an attached lead, used on Vokera Linea gas boilers. It sits at the burner and produces the ignition spark that lights the gas on a demand for heat. The lead carries the high-voltage signal from the ignition source to the electrode tip.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fires intermittently or fails to ignite on a demand for heat
- No visible spark at the electrode when ignition is called
- Repeated lockouts shortly after start-up
- Cracking, erosion or heavy carbon build-up on the electrode tip
- Damaged or perished insulation on the electrode lead
