What it is
The Vokera 1837 is an ignition control box printed circuit board used in Vokera domestic boilers. It sits within the boiler's control circuit and manages the ignition sequence, supervising the spark generation and flame sensing stages that light the burner on a call for heat. The board is supplied as a boxed Vokera spare part and is fitted in place of the original control PCB when that board fails.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the electrode on a call for heat
- The appliance locks out repeatedly and requires resetting before it will run
- The burner lights briefly and then extinguishes as the board loses flame sensing
- Visible damage to the PCB, such as scorching, burnt tracks or swollen components
- Intermittent or erratic boiler behaviour traced to the ignition control circuit
