What it is
The Ideal 181837 is a 15mm x 1/2 inch FI DZR compression coupler used on Ideal Logic and Logic MAX System 2 appliances. It joins a 15mm compression pipe connection to a 1/2 inch female iron threaded fitting. The DZR brass body is dezincification resistant, making it suitable for use where water quality would attack standard brass.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or visible water tracking at the compression nut or the threaded joint
- Corrosion, pitting or green/white scale on the brass body
- A joint that will not seal after re-tightening
- Damp staining on pipework or casing below the fitting
- Damaged or cross-threaded threads on the female iron end
