What it is
The Vaillant 180982 is a pressure gauge manufactured by Vaillant for use in its heating appliances. It sits on the hydraulic side of the unit and gives a direct dial reading of system pressure, so the boiler's water circuit can be checked and topped up when needed. The gauge is a serviceable spare, supplied as an individual component for replacement during repair or routine maintenance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The needle sits at zero or fails to move when the system is pressurised.
- The reading is erratic, jumping or drifting without any change to the system.
- The dial face is fogged, discoloured or the needle is bent or stuck.
- Water weeps from the gauge body or from the connection point behind the dial.
- The gauge reads noticeably differently from a second, known-good pressure reading on the same circuit.
