What it is
The Vaillant 180945 Gas Pipe Kit is a pipework assembly for Vaillant gas appliances. Vaillant gas pipework falls into two groups: pipework external to the appliance that connects to the wall jig and admits gas, and pipework inside the unit that carries gas between the components needing it. This kit is supplied as a Pipes & Hoses spare part and forms part of that gas-carrying route.
Signs this part needs replacing
- A detectable gas smell around the appliance or at the pipework joints
- Leak detection fluid bubbling at a joint, union or compression fitting on the gas run
- Visible corrosion, pitting or surface damage along the pipe
- A joint that weeps or shows staining from repeated minor leakage
- Disturbed or kinked pipework following other work inside the casing
Before you order
- This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
- Confirm the part number 180945 against the pipework currently fitted before ordering.
- Establish whether the pipework required is the external run to the wall jig or the internal run between components, as the two are listed separately.
- Check the appliance model and serial details so the correct pipework variant is selected.
