What it is

The Vaillant 180920 is a packing ring gasket used on Vaillant gas boilers. It forms the seal at the joint where it is fitted, preventing leakage under normal operating pressure and temperature. It is listed in the O-rings, washers and gaskets category of Vaillant gas boiler spares.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible weeping or damp staining around the joint the gasket seals
  • The gasket has hardened, flattened or lost its compression set
  • Cracking, splitting or crumbling visible on the gasket face
  • A leak reappears at the joint shortly after the appliance is reassembled
  • The gasket is disturbed or damaged during servicing and cannot be reused

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above before ordering
  • Check the part number on the existing gasket or the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
  • Identify the exact joint the gasket seals, as more than one gasket may be used on the same appliance
  • Inspect the mating faces for corrosion or scoring before fitting a new gasket
