What it is

This is a Vaillant O-ring, supplied under part number 180918 as a pack of 10. It is a sealing component used on Vaillant gas boilers, including VU and Ecotec models. The O-ring forms a fluid-tight seal at the joint where it is fitted.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracking, flattening or hardening of the O-ring
  • Weeping or dripping at the joint the O-ring seals
  • Water staining or corrosion around the sealed connection
  • The O-ring has been disturbed during servicing and no longer sits correctly in its groove
  • A seal that has hardened and no longer compresses to fill the joint

Before you order

  • Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
  • Check the part number 180918 matches the number shown in your appliance's parts list
  • Inspect the joint to confirm the O-ring is the component at fault rather than the surrounding fitting
  • Note that the part is supplied as a pack of 10, so check whether a single seal is sufficient for the job
