What it is
The ICI Caldaie 18050130 is a fibre washer, identified by the manufacturer's part number and by the D.1 inch size designation carried in its product name. It is a sealing consumable in the O-rings, washers and gaskets group, used at a joint face where a compressible washer is needed. A fibre washer deforms slightly under compression, which allows it to take up minor surface irregularity at the joint.
Before you order
- Confirm the part number 18050130 matches the item being replaced.
- Check the D.1 inch size designation against the washer removed from the joint.
- Confirm the joint calls for a fibre washer rather than a rubber, copper or bonded sealing washer.
- Check that fibre is suitable for the medium and temperature at the joint before fitting.
