What it is

The Ideal 179312 is a front panel kit supplied as a casing assembly for Ideal Logic Plus Heat and Logic Max Heat appliances. It forms the outer front face of the appliance casing, enclosing the internal components behind it and restoring the finished appearance of the unit after damage or removal. As a casing component it is a non-gas part and does not carry any combustion function.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible dents, creases or distortion in the front panel that prevent it sitting flush against the casing frame
  • Corrosion, blistering or flaking paint on the panel face, typically around the lower edges and fixing points
  • Panel retaining clips, lugs or fixings broken or missing so the front cover cannot be secured correctly
  • Impact damage from tools, access or transport that leaves the panel misaligned with the rest of the casing
  • Panel removed during servicing and found to be cracked or weakened at the mounting points

Before you order

  • Check the appliance GC number against the compatibility list to confirm the correct panel variant for your model
  • Confirm the existing part number or the alternative number 1775916 before ordering, as casing panels differ between appliance families
  • Inspect the casing seals and fixings while the front panel is off, and replace any that are perished or missing
