What it is
The Ideal 179269 is a gas conversion kit that changes an appliance from liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) operation to natural gas (NG). It is produced by Ideal for use within the Vogue S15 Gen2 boiler family and selected Ideal Commercial appliances. The kit supplies the components needed to re-jet and re-set the appliance so that combustion is correct for the incoming gas family.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance is set up for LPG but the property is supplied with natural gas, or the gas supply has been changed at the meter.
- Commissioning cannot be completed because the burner is jetted for the wrong gas family.
- Combustion readings fall outside the expected range for the gas being supplied.
- Flame picture or burner performance is poor after a change of gas supply.
- A conversion is required to bring the installation in line with the gas being delivered to the property.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list, as the kit is specific to the Vogue S15 Gen2 and listed Ideal Commercial appliances.
- Check which gas family the appliance is currently set for and which gas family is required on site before ordering.
- Note the alternative part number 8904201 when cross-referencing existing stock or documentation.
