What it is

The Ideal 179130 waterset assembly is the hydraulic manifold block used on Vogue Combi 26 appliances. It groups the domestic hot water and central heating connections into a single serviceable unit, carrying the flow and return waterways, the diverter arrangement and the associated sensor and switch points.

Because it sits at the centre of the boiler's water circuit, the assembly is the point where scale, debris and heat cycling show up first. Replacing the complete waterset restores correct flow through the DHW and heating paths rather than chasing individual seals and components.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Domestic hot water running hot and cold, or losing temperature as the tap runs
  • Kettling, banging or rushing noises from the boiler on DHW demand
  • Reduced flow rate at hot taps compared with the cold supply
  • Water weeping from the manifold body, joints or sensor ports
  • Heating circuit slow to warm, or the boiler cycling on temperature rather than demand

Before you order

  • Confirm the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list, as Vogue C26 and Vogue Max Combi 26 variants use different build generations
  • Check the existing assembly against part number 179130 and the alternative number 8904178 before ordering
  • Inspect the O-rings and seals on the connecting pipework and renew them if they are flattened or perished, as the assembly is disturbed during removal
  • Isolate and drain the appliance before starting work, and follow the manufacturer's procedure for refilling and venting
