Ideal Plate Heat Exchanger Kit 40kW 179124

The plate heat exchanger kit is a brazed stainless steel plate stack used in Ideal's Vogue and Vogue Max range to transfer heat from the primary circuit into the domestic hot water supply. It sits in the DHW circuit of the combi boiler, where hot primary water passes across alternating plates and heats the mains-fed water on the other side. This is the 40kW rated version, supplied by Ideal as part 179124.

• Domestic hot water runs hot then cold, or the temperature swings noticeably at the tap
• Reduced hot water flow rate with the boiler still firing on heating
• Scale or sludge blocking the plate passages, often after poor water quality or a neglected system
