Ideal Conversion Kit LPG to NG 24V 179005

The Ideal 179005 is a gas conversion kit that allows an appliance to be changed between liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and natural gas (NG) operation. It is supplied by Ideal for use on the Independent Combi 30 and on Ideal Commercial appliances listed in the compatibility table below. The kit carries the 24V designation and is fitted at the gas valve and burner assembly to suit the fuel being used.

• The appliance has been converted to a different gas family and the existing injectors, spring or valve settings no longer match the fuel supply.
• Combustion readings fall outside the expected range for the gas being used, with CO or CO2 figures drifting from the manufacturer's figures.
• Unstable flame picture at the burner, including flame lift, yellow tipping or sooting on the heat exchanger.
• Repeated ignition or flame supervision faults after a fuel change or a replacement gas valve.
• The kit components show corrosion, perished seals or mechanical damage where the conversion parts are exposed to heat.

• Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list before ordering, as the same part number can be listed against more than one appliance group.
• Check the existing gas valve and burner configuration so the correct conversion parts are selected for the fuel being used.
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Inspect any gasket, seal or O-ring at the gas valve and burner joint and replace where the joint is disturbed.
