What it is
The Ideal 179001 is a conversion kit that allows a compatible Ideal appliance to be changed over from liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to natural gas (NG). It is supplied by Ideal for use on the Logic and Logic+ System S30 range and carries the Gas Council number 41-750-68. The kit provides the components needed to match the appliance to the gas family being supplied at the installation address.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance is being changed from an LPG supply to a mains natural gas supply, or the reverse conversion is being reversed back.
- The burner is running on the wrong gas family, giving an unstable or unusually lazy flame.
- Sooting, discolouration or a yellow-tipped flame at the burner.
- Repeated ignition or flame supervision faults after a change of gas supply.
- Combustion readings that cannot be brought into the figures stated for the appliance on the gas being used.
