The Ideal 178151 is a gas valve assembly used on Ideal Commercial boiler appliances. It controls the flow of gas to the burner, opening and modulating supply in step with the appliance's demand signal so combustion stays stable across the firing range. This valve is specified for the Imax XEL range of commercial units.

• The burner fails to light even though the ignition sequence runs and the fan and pump operate normally.
