Ideal Probe Socket 177979

The Ideal 177979 is a probe socket for Ideal Commercial Evojet oil-fired boilers. It provides the mounting point that holds the sensing probe in position on the appliance, keeping the probe seated so it can read the condition it monitors. The socket is supplied as an Ideal spare under part number 177979 and carries the reference 0Cr106407.

• Probe readings become erratic, or the boiler cycles in a way that cannot be traced to anything else

• Corrosion, cracking or heat damage is visible around the socket body
• Oil or combustion residue weeps past the socket joint
• Repeated lockouts traced back to a poor probe connection at the socket
