Ideal Washer 177976

This is an Ideal washer, supplied under part number 177976 and also listed as 4035509. It is a sealing component used within the assemblies of Ideal Commercial Evojet appliances, where it sits between mating faces to prevent water weeping past a joint. Washers of this type are consumable items: they are compressed on assembly and are normally renewed whenever the joint they sit in is disturbed.

• Water weeping or a visible drip at the joint the washer seals
• Chalky white scale or rust staining around the mating faces
• The washer has hardened, flattened or cracked and no longer springs back when handled
• A leak reappears shortly after a repair where the original washer was reused
• Damp staining or corrosion on nearby components below the joint

• Confirm your appliance model against the compatibility list before ordering, as the same washer may be used in several positions across the Evojet range.
• Cross-check the number on the old component: this part is listed under both 177976 and 4035509.
• If the joint is being opened as part of a larger service, check whether any other seals or gaskets in the same assembly also need renewing so the work is completed in one visit.
