What it is

The Ideal 177862 is the boiler control circuit board (BCC) used on Logic Combi 24 LPG appliances. It is the main printed circuit board that manages ignition sequencing, fan and pump operation, temperature sensing and fault reporting on the boiler. The board is supplied by Ideal as a direct replacement for the original fitted unit.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Boiler fails to fire and locks out with no obvious mechanical cause
  • No display, blank screen or unresponsive controls on the front panel
  • Fan or pump runs continuously, or does not run at all, when there is a demand
  • Repeated lockouts or fault codes that clear and return after a reset
  • Erratic temperature control or intermittent shutdown during a heating or hot water demand

Before you order

  • Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list to confirm the correct board variant
  • Confirm the existing board carries the number 177862 or the alternative number 8901859 before ordering
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
