Ideal Gas Valve Bracket Kit 177749

The Ideal 177749 is a bracket kit for the gas valve on Ideal Logic+ Heat appliances. It provides the mounting point that holds the gas valve rigidly against the boiler chassis, keeping the valve body square to the gas train so the inlet and outlet connections stay correctly aligned. The kit is supplied by Ideal as a serviceable assembly for the Logic+ Heat range and the associated Ideal Commercial appliances.

• The gas valve moves or rocks when the gas train is handled during service
• Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the bracket or its fixings
• Difficulty holding the gas valve square to the pipework, making inlet pressure readings inconsistent
• Vibration or rattling from the gas valve area that disappears when the valve is supported by hand
• Bracket fixings that will not torque down because the mounting points have stripped or deformed

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list to confirm the correct variant
• Confirm the boiler model and serial number, as the Logic+ Heat range uses more than one gas train arrangement
• Have the appliance seals and gaskets to hand, as disturbed gas joints should be remade with new sealing components
