What it is
The Ideal 177729 is the upper flow pipe for Ideal domestic and commercial boilers. It forms part of the internal pipework route, carrying water through the upper section of the appliance's hydraulic circuit. The part is listed against the Logic+ Heat family and a number of Ideal Commercial units.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping, dripping or staining around the upper pipe connections
- Visible corrosion, pitting or heavy scale on the pipe surface
- Falling system pressure with no obvious leak elsewhere on the appliance
- Kettling, gurgling or air noise from the upper section of the boiler
- Overheat or lockout faults traced back to restricted flow through the pipe
