What it is
The Ideal 177724 is a front panel assembly for Ideal gas boilers, supplied as a complete outer casing front for the appliance. It forms the visible face of the boiler and encloses the internal components behind it, so it needs to seat correctly and be secured with the original fixings.
The part is listed against the Ideal Independent System family and a number of Ideal Commercial appliances, and is identified by the manufacturer code 177724.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible dents, creases or distortion in the front panel after handling or transit
- Corrosion, blistering paint or rust along the panel edges and fixing points
- Panel no longer sits flush against the casing, leaving gaps around the seams
- Fixing holes or lugs worn or elongated so the panel cannot be tightened down
- Cosmetic damage that prevents the appliance front from being correctly refitted after service
Before you order
- Check the appliance GC number against the compatibility list below, as the same panel reference is listed across several Independent System outputs
- Confirm the model and output on the data badge before ordering, particularly where the appliance has been re-badged or relocated
- Have the appliance installation and servicing instructions to hand so the panel is refitted in the correct order with the correct fixings
