What it is
The Ideal 177528 is an LPG to natural gas conversion kit for Ideal Logic Code Combi appliances built from prefix ABK onwards. It is the kit used when an appliance has to be changed over from liquefied petroleum gas to natural gas, so the boiler's gas configuration matches the supply at the installation. Ideal lists the part under conversion kits, and it also carries the alternative number 8901821.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance is configured for LPG but the property is supplied with natural gas, or the reverse change is being made.
- Combustion readings sit outside the figures expected for the gas being used.
- The flame picture is unstable, with lift, yellowing or a poor flame at the burner.
- The boiler has been recommissioned after a move or supply change and the gas family no longer matches the appliance's configuration.
- A conversion is needed to bring the installation in line with the appliance data badge.
