What it is
The Ideal 177520 is a gas conversion kit that allows an appliance to be changed between liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and natural gas (NG). It is supplied by Ideal for use on boilers built from serial prefix ABU onwards, and forms part of the Logic System range of spares. The kit contains the components needed to re-jet and re-configure the appliance so it burns the correct gas family safely and at the intended input rate.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance is being changed from LPG to natural gas supply, or the installation is being converted back.
- Burner flames are the wrong shape or colour for the gas being supplied, indicating incorrect injectors or settings.
- Combustion readings fall outside the expected range for the gas family in use.
- The boiler soots up, struggles to ignite, or locks out repeatedly after a gas supply change.
- A replacement appliance or relocation has left the boiler set up for the wrong gas type.
