What it is
The Ideal 177479 is a fan gasket used on Ideal Commercial gas boilers. It sits between the fan assembly and its mounting face, forming a compression seal that keeps the air intake and flue gas paths contained at that joint. The gasket is a service item: heat, vibration and flue gas condensate gradually harden and flatten the material, so it is replaced whenever the fan is removed or refitted.
