Ideal Flexible Return Hose 177331

The Ideal 177331 is a flexible return hose supplied as a spare for Ideal Commercial appliances. It sits on the return side of the water circuit, where a rigid pipe run would be impractical, and carries water between components while absorbing movement and vibration at the joint. The hose is listed by the manufacturer under the pipes and hoses spare category.

Flexible hoses of this type are a service item: the rubber or polymer body hardens over time and the crimped or threaded end connections can weep once the seal face degrades. Replacing the hose restores a sound, leak-free connection on the return leg without disturbing the surrounding pipework.

• Water weeping or dripping from either end of the hose
• Visible cracking, hardening or perishing of the hose body
• Staining, scale or corrosion around the connection points
• System pressure that drops and traces back to the hose joint
• Movement or vibration at the connection that the hose no longer absorbs

• Confirm the appliance model against the compatibility list before ordering.
• Check the part number on the existing hose or in the appliance parts list.
• Note the alternative number 1782856, which may appear on older documentation for the same item.
• Inspect the mating connection and any washer or seal at the joint while the hose is removed.
