What it is

The Ideal 176993 is a printed circuit board (PCB) supplied for the Logic+ Combi 30 gas boiler and configured for natural gas to LPG operation. It is the boiler control board, handling ignition sequencing, flame supervision, fan and pump control, and the signal path between the appliance's sensors, safety devices and user controls. This board is listed for AAX revision appliances and onwards.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to fire, or repeatedly goes to lockout with no obvious ignition or gas supply fault.
  • A blank, unresponsive or partially lit control panel display.
  • Recurring fault codes linked to flame detection, fan operation or sensor circuits.
  • The fan, pump or diverter valve is not driven even though there is a call for heat.
  • Intermittent running, with the boiler dropping out part-way through a heating or hot water cycle.

Before you order

  • Check the appliance GC number and the serial number or revision code — this board is listed for AAX and onwards.
  • Compare the board revision and connector layout against the board being removed before ordering.
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
