Ideal Burner Gasket Kit 176966

The Ideal 176966 is a burner gasket kit supplied by Ideal for use in the Vogue range of domestic gas boilers. It forms the seal between the burner and the combustion chamber face, keeping the products of combustion contained within the appliance and preventing leakage into the casing or the room. Gaskets in this position are exposed to sustained heat cycling, so they harden, flatten and eventually break down with age.

• A gasket that is visibly flattened, brittle, cracked or blackened when the burner is removed for service
• Soot deposits or discolouration around the burner mounting face, indicating leakage past the seal
• Combustion readings that drift outside the expected range and cannot be corrected by adjustment alone
• A smell of combustion products around the appliance casing during operation
