Ideal Expansion Vessel Pipe 176864

The Ideal 176864 is an expansion vessel pipe used within the internal pipework of Ideal Vogue boilers. It carries water between the expansion vessel connection and the rest of the hydraulic circuit, so the vessel can absorb expansion as the system heats and the pressure stays within its working range. The part is listed under Ideal's pipes and hoses range and is also referenced as 1782589.

• Water weeping or staining around the pipe unions or along the pipe run
• System pressure falling repeatedly, requiring frequent top-ups at the filling loop
• Visible corrosion, pitting or green/white deposits on the pipe surface
• Scale or debris restricting flow through the pipe, affecting expansion vessel response
• Pipe distorted, kinked or loose at its connection points after servicing

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list to confirm the boiler variant
• Confirm the part number on the existing component matches 176864 or the alternative number 1782589
• Inspect the union seals and washers while the pipe is removed and replace them if they are compressed or perished
• Confirm the boiler model and serial number before ordering, as Vogue C and S variants use different internal layouts
