Ideal Pump Head Kit Vogue 176857

The Ideal 176857 is a pump head kit for the circulating pump fitted to Ideal Vogue condensing boilers. The pump head is the motor and impeller assembly that pushes water around the primary heating circuit, and on combi models through the domestic hot water plate heat exchanger. Supplied by Ideal as a complete head kit, it allows the working part of the pump to be renewed without disturbing the pump body or pipework connections.

• Boiler fires and reaches temperature but radiators stay cold or heat unevenly
• Pump body runs hot, hums loudly or emits a grinding or whining noise
• Overheat, circulation or low pressure faults appear, followed by lockout
• No domestic hot water on a combi while the heating circuit behaves normally
• Pump head does not run when the boiler calls for heat and the supply to the pump is confirmed

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list to confirm the model
• Compare the part number on the existing pump head with 176857 before removing it
• Note the alternative number 1782703 when cross-referencing older stock or paperwork
• Inspect the pump gasket or seal on removal and renew it if it is perished or flattened
