The Ideal 176755 is a flexible hose used to connect an expansion vessel to the pipework on Ideal heating appliances. It is manufactured by Ideal and sits within the Hoses & Pipes spare parts group. The hose carries system water between the vessel and the appliance circuit, absorbing movement and vibration so the connection does not have to be made with rigid pipework.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from either end of the hose, or staining around the crimped connections
- A visible drop in system pressure that returns after topping up, with no other obvious leak source
- Cracking, perishing or hardening of the hose material, particularly on older installations
- Corrosion or rust staining at the hose ends or on the adjacent vessel connection
- Kinking or deformation of the hose where it has been disturbed or poorly routed
