Ideal Conversion Kit LPG to NG 176744

The Ideal 176744 is a fuel conversion kit that allows an Ideal Independent Plus boiler to be changed over from LPG (propane) operation to natural gas operation. It is supplied as a pre-prefix ABK kit, so the components are matched to the appliance's gas train rather than being a generic set of parts. Conversion kits of this type are used when an appliance is moved to a property on a different gas supply, or when the fuel supply at an existing installation changes.

• The boiler is being commissioned on a gas supply that does not match the fuel family it was set up for.
• Combustion readings fall outside the range expected for the appliance, with the burner running on the wrong fuel.
• The appliance has been relocated from a propane-supplied property to a natural gas supply, or the reverse change is planned.
• A replacement gas train component has been fitted and the appliance needs to be returned to its correct fuel configuration.
• The installation paperwork records a fuel type that no longer matches the supply actually connected to the boiler.

• Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list, as the kit is matched to specific Independent Plus variants.
• Check the fuel type the boiler is currently set for and the fuel type it needs to run on, so the correct conversion direction is ordered.
• Note the alternative part number 1782922 in case the original number has been replaced on the appliance's parts listing.
