What it is

The Ideal 176667 is a printed circuit board kit manufactured for the BCC Combi 35 platform. The board is the control centre of the appliance: it reads the sensor and thermostat inputs, sequences ignition, and drives the fan, pump and gas valve through the modulation cycle. It is supplied as a kit rather than a bare board, so the control assembly can be replaced as a complete unit during a repair.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance fails to fire or does not respond when there is a call for heat or hot water.
  • The display is blank, flickering or showing repeated fault codes that clear and return.
  • The fan, pump or gas valve does not run even though the boiler has power and a demand.
  • Intermittent lockouts that reset at first but become more frequent over time.
  • Visible heat damage, scorching or corrosion on the board itself.

Before you order

  • Match the appliance GC number against the list above before ordering, as the board is specific to the BCC Combi 35 platform.
  • Confirm the part number on the existing board or in the appliance manual reads 176667 or 1781956.
  • Check the appliance serial and model plate, since the same model name can be built in different revisions.
  • Work on the control board should be carried out with the appliance isolated from the electrical supply.
