What it is
The Ideal 176631 is a front panel door supplied as a casing assembly for the Independent Plus range of gas boilers. It forms the outer front face of the appliance casing, closing off the combustion and component compartment and giving the boiler its finished appearance in the installation position. As a casing component it is a direct replacement for the panel originally fitted at manufacture.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible dents, creases or distortion in the front panel
- Corrosion or paint blistering along the panel edges or fixing points
- Cracks or splits in the casing panel, particularly around the door fixings
- Panel no longer sits flush or square against the boiler casing
- Fixing holes elongated or torn, so the panel cannot be secured properly
