What it is
The Ideal 176578 is a conversion kit that re-configures an appliance from propane (LPG) operation to natural gas (NG). It is supplied by Ideal for the commercial Evomax and Instinct ranges, where the 80 kW models share a common gas train. The kit contains the components needed to bring the gas circuit back to the settings and metering required for natural gas.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The appliance is being moved from a propane supply to a natural gas supply.
- Combustion readings fall outside the range expected for the fuel currently being burned.
- The flame picture shows lift, yellowing or sooting after a change of gas supply.
- The burner fails to light or locks out following a change of fuel.
- The gas train components fitted are sized for propane rather than natural gas.
