What it is

The Ideal EPDM Seal 80mm Black (41.008.17.42) is an inner flue-to-flue sealing gasket used on twin flue systems. It sits between flue sections to seal the inner flue path, preventing flue gas leakage and condensate escape at the joint. It is fitted to Ideal twin flue assemblies from WM onwards across several boiler ranges.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracking, hardening or perishing of the rubber seal
  • Condensate weeping or staining around the flue joint
  • Flue gas smell or combustion readings drifting at the flue connection
  • Seal flattened or distorted so the flue sections no longer sit tight
