Ideal Control Box Lens 176489

The Ideal 176489 is a control box lens manufactured for Ideal boilers. It sits over the control box on the appliance fascia and covers the indicator lamps and neons, protecting them from dust and accidental contact while letting the engineer or homeowner read the status lights clearly. It is a Caradon-era component used across several Ideal combi ranges.

• The lens is cracked, split or missing, leaving the control box lamps exposed.
• The lens has yellowed or clouded so the indicator neons are hard to read.
• Condensation or dirt has built up behind the lens and obscures the status lights.
• The lens no longer clips or seats securely on the control box and moves or falls away.
• Fault-finding is being held up because the lamp status cannot be seen clearly.

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the list above before ordering.
• Confirm the model appears in the compatibility list, as this lens is used across several Ideal combi ranges.
• Note the alternative number 1782020 when cross-referencing older documentation or stock.
