What it is
The Ideal gas inlet pipe (pre ABK) is the pipe that carries gas from the appliance inlet connection through to the gas valve assembly. It is supplied by Ideal as a direct replacement for the original pipe fitted to a range of Classic Combi, Esprit Eco and Exclusive Combi boilers. The pipe is listed under Ideal part number 176477 and is also referenced under alternative number 1782126.
Signs this part needs replacing
- A smell of gas at or near the boiler, particularly around the inlet connection
- A failed tightness test on the gas supply pipework to the appliance
- Visible corrosion, pitting or surface staining along the pipe
- A kinked, crushed or distorted pipe that restricts gas flow
- Weeping or staining at the pipe joints or connections
Before you order
