What it is
The Ideal 176460 is a pressure relief valve outlet pipe used on Ideal combi and system boilers. It carries water away from the pressure relief valve discharge point so that any release is directed clear of the appliance casing and internal components. The pipe is supplied as a spare for the Ideal Classic Combi, Esprit Eco and Exclusive ranges, along with the wider group of appliances listed in the compatibility table below.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the pressure relief valve outlet when the boiler is running or heating up
- Visible corrosion, scale or staining along the outlet pipe, particularly at the connection to the valve
- Damp patches or water tracking on the boiler casing or the surface below the discharge route
- Boiler losing pressure repeatedly, with evidence of discharge at the outlet pipe
- Discharge pipework that has become loose, misaligned or damaged at the valve connection
