What it is

The Ideal chip card kit is a printed circuit board assembly used as the central control of the boiler. It reads inputs from the appliance's sensors, switches and thermostats, and uses them to monitor and regulate every process that takes place during operation. This kit sits within the printed circuit board section of the Ideal spares range and is specified for the Combi 35 Prefix Ace family of appliances.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to fire or does not respond to a call for heat.
  • The display is blank, flickering or showing fault codes.
  • The appliance runs erratically, with heating or hot water cutting in and out.
  • Sensors, switches and thermostats appear to have no effect on boiler behaviour.
  • The board shows visible signs of damage, moisture ingress or burnt components.

Before you order

  • Check the boiler's GC number and serial plate against the compatibility list to confirm the correct board for your model.
