What it is
The Ideal gas valve kit is a replacement gas control assembly for Ideal commercial condensing appliances. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner so the boiler can modulate output and hold a stable flame across its firing range. This kit is specified for the 100 KW and 120 KW versions of the Evomax and Evomax 2 ranges, and is also listed against the Instinct Heat 100.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to light, or lights and then drops out shortly after ignition.
- Repeated lockouts on the gas train, with the fault returning after reset.
- Unstable or hunting flame, or output that will not modulate smoothly through the range.
- Audible clicking or a valve that does not respond when the boiler calls for heat.
- Combustion readings that drift outside the expected range despite correct servicing.
