What it is
The Ideal 176287 is a wiring harness that runs between the Varican unit and the eBus connector. It carries the low-voltage communication and control signals along that link, so the connected components can talk to each other and to the appliance's control system. It is supplied as a complete harness assembly with the connector terminations already fitted.

- Loss of communication between the Varican unit and the eBus connection, with the appliance failing to respond as expected
- Intermittent faults or lockouts that clear when the harness is moved or the connector is reseated
- Visible damage to the cable: chafed or split insulation, scorching, or a brittle, discoloured conductor
