What it is
The Ideal 176152 is a printed circuit board kit, supplied as the BCC (boiler control circuit) board for the Logic Code Combi range. It is the main control board that manages ignition sequencing, fan and gas valve operation, temperature regulation and the safety interlocks that shut the boiler down when a fault is detected. The board also drives the display and fault code readout on the front of the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out and will not reset, or resets only briefly before locking out again
- No display, a blank screen or a display that flickers on the Logic Code Combi fascia
- The boiler fails to respond to a heating or hot water demand
- Repeated fault codes that clear after a power cycle and then return
- Fan, pump or gas valve not being driven despite the boiler calling for heat
