What it is

The Ideal 176049 is a flow sensor manifold used in the Logic+ Heat range of gas boilers. It forms the housing and connection point for the flow sensor within the boiler's water circuit, allowing the sensor to register flow through the appliance and pass that signal to the control board. The manifold is supplied as a complete assembly and is listed by Ideal under the spare part type Manifolds.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to fire or locks out when there is a demand for heat or hot water.
  • Flow-related fault codes appear on the boiler display or the appliance behaves intermittently.
  • Domestic hot water is not recognised, so the boiler does not respond to a tap being opened.
  • Water weeps or drips from the manifold body or its connections.
  • Scale, sludge or debris restricts flow through the manifold, giving poor or inconsistent performance.

Before you order

  • Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list below to confirm the manifold suits your model.
  • Confirm the number on the existing part matches 176049 or the alternative number 1781720 before ordering.
  • Inspect the seals and O-rings on the manifold when it is removed and replace any that are worn or flattened.
  • Isolate the water and electrical supplies to the appliance before starting work.
