What it is

The Ideal Pump Complete Kit is a full circulation pump assembly manufactured for Ideal Logic System and Combi appliances. The pump moves heated water from the boiler around the primary heating circuit and through the domestic hot water plate heat exchanger where fitted, so it sits at the centre of the appliance's day-to-day operation. Supplied as a complete kit, it replaces the pump head and body assembly as a single service item rather than as individual components.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance runs but the radiators stay cold, or heat is uneven across the system.
  • The pump is noisy in operation, with rumbling, grinding or whining audible from the casing.
  • Domestic hot water performance drops while the heating demand is unchanged.
  • The appliance locks out or shuts down shortly after a call for heat.
  • The pump body shows signs of leakage, weeping seals or corrosion around the connections.

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model and GC number on the data badge and confirm the part number IDEAL175555 matches the pump currently fitted.
  • Confirm whether the existing pump is a complete assembly or a pump head only, as the kit is supplied as a full unit.
  • Inspect the pump gasket and sealing washers on removal and replace them if they are compressed or damaged.
  • Isolate the electrical supply and drain or isolate the water circuit before removing the old pump.
