What it is

The Ideal 175413 Pressure Relief Valve Kit is a temperature and pressure relief valve assembly supplied by Ideal Spares. It regulates water or gas flow inside the appliance and forms part of the safety and pressure control circuit, opening to relieve excess pressure so the unit continues to run dependably. It is a direct replacement component for the corresponding valve position on the appliance it was designed for.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or discharging continuously from the relief outlet pipe when the system is at normal pressure.
  • System pressure creeping up on the gauge, or the boiler locking out on a low pressure fault after the valve has passed water.
  • The valve failing to reseat after it has lifted, leaving a persistent drip from the discharge pipe.
  • Scale or debris visible around the valve seat, or the valve spindle feeling stiff or seized when operated.
  • Repeated pressure loss requiring regular topping up of the system.

Before you order

  • Check the part number 175413 against the valve currently fitted and against your appliance's parts list.
  • Confirm the appliance model and GC number from the data badge before ordering, as valve assemblies vary between ranges.
  • Have a suitable gasket or sealing washer to hand for refitting, as the joint at the valve body must be remade cleanly.
  • Isolate the appliance, drain down as required and follow the manufacturer's instructions when removing and refitting the valve.
