Ideal 175409 Pump Head Kit

The Ideal 175409 is a pump head kit for Ideal domestic gas boilers. It forms the moving section of the circulating pump that pushes water around the central heating circuit and through the boiler's primary heat exchanger. The kit is listed against a number of Ideal appliances, including the Esprit 2 and Evo HE ranges.

• The boiler fires but the radiators stay cold, or heat only reaches part of the system
• The pump runs noisily, with grinding, humming or rattling from the pump head
• The pump head is hot to the touch but the body is not circulating water
• Water weeping from the pump head joint or from around the pump body
• The boiler locks out or reports a circulation or flow fault shortly after ignition

• Confirm the boiler model and, where available, the GC number against the compatibility list before ordering
• Check the existing pump head and the part number stamped or printed on it match 175409
• Inspect the pump gasket and seals while the head is off, and replace them if they are compressed or perished
• Isolate the electrical supply and drain or isolate the water circuit before removing the pump head
