Ideal Lower Insulation Body 13/14 Section 175144

The Ideal 175144 is the lower insulation body for Ideal Commercial boilers built with a 13/14 section heat exchanger. It sits at the lower end of the boiler body, where it limits heat loss from the lower sections and shields surrounding components and casing panels from radiated heat. The moulded insulation is shaped to the profile of the lower body, so it seats directly against the section faces without modification.

• Visible cracking, crumbling or breakdown of the insulation material
• Insulation detached, sagging or displaced from the lower boiler body
• Localised heat build-up or discolouration on the lower casing panels
• Higher-than-expected surface temperature around the lower section of the boiler
• Insulation that has become brittle or compressed and no longer sits flush against the body

• Confirm the boiler is a 13/14 section Ideal Commercial unit before ordering
• Cross-check the part number stamped or labelled on the existing insulation body
• Inspect any seals or gaskets around the lower body and order replacements at the same time if they are worn
• Casing and insulation work on a commercial boiler should be carried out by a competent engineer
