What it is

The control panel fascia is the moulded front cover that sits over the boiler's control panel, carrying the user controls and display window while protecting the internal electronics and wiring behind it. This one is supplied by Ideal for the Ideal Commercial range, where it forms the visible face of the casing assembly on the appliance. It is the part an engineer removes to reach the control board and the part a customer sees every day, so it needs to sit square and secure against the casing.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible cracks, splits or missing sections in the fascia moulding
  • The fascia no longer clips or screws down flush, leaving a gap against the casing
  • Broken or detached retaining lugs, so the panel lifts away when the door is opened
  • Discoloured, warped or heat-damaged plastic around the control area
  • Damaged cut-outs or legends that no longer line up with the buttons and display

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as the fascia is specific to the casing it was moulded for
  • Check the number printed on the existing fascia or the appliance data badge and match it to 300006134 before ordering
  • Inspect the retaining clips and any seals around the panel while the casing is open, as these are often disturbed during removal
  • Work on the appliance casing and controls should be carried out by a competent person, with the appliance isolated from the electrical supply first
