What it is
The Ideal 174857 is a flow connection crossover fitting supplied as a fixing kit for Ideal solar thermal equipment. It forms part of the pipework connection arrangement on the collector side of the appliance, joining the flow connections so the circuit can be completed and sealed correctly. It is used across the Ideal Solar Pack range and the associated Solar Thermostore cylinder, as well as on Ideal commercial assemblies.

- Weeping or visible water at the flow connection joints on the collector circuit
- Corrosion, scale or discolouration around the crossover fitting body
- Loose, rounded or seized fixings that will not pull the connection up tight
- Repeated pressure loss on the solar circuit traced to the connection area
- Staining or damp patches beneath the connection after the system has been running hot
