Ideal Flow Switch Cartridge with Filter 174844

The Ideal 174844 is a flow switch cartridge supplied with an integrated filter. It sits in the domestic hot water circuit of Ideal Esprit HE boilers, where it senses water movement and signals the boiler to fire when a hot water tap is opened. The filter element traps debris and scale particles before they reach the switch mechanism.

• No hot water, or hot water that runs intermittently while the tap is open
• The boiler does not fire when a hot water outlet is opened
• A flow switch or DHW fault code appears and the boiler locks out
• Reduced hot water flow through the circuit
• Debris or scale visible in the filter housing on inspection

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the list above before ordering
• Compare the part number on the old component with 174844, and note the alternative numbers 1780246 and N2203-C
• Inspect the seal and housing for wear and replace if required when refitting
• Isolate the electrical supply and the water supply before removing the cartridge
